The "rueca" or spinning wheel is a tool used in the past to make thin cords with your own hands. It had the shape of a wheel and it was usually made of wood or steel. This is composed of various parts. which one of the parts is the object that we were investigating:
A. Wheel: Is what turns when you pedaland it makes the other parts work.
B. Belt: Cord that sorrounds the wheel and the flyer whorl.
C. Flyer: This is our investigation object. It's a tool that has an U shape with hooks in each of his
extremities.
D. Flyer whorl: It's a pulley that it's attached to the flyer and it's moved by the belt.
E. Maidens: Sticks that support the flyer and the spool.
F. Mother-Of-All: A long bar where all the upper elements are hold.
G. Tension switch: It's function is to regulate the tension of the cords.
H. Stool: It stores the wool before being used and spins because of the flyer.
I. Pedal: Spins the wheel.
J. Footman: Bar tha connects the pedals and the wheel anc by this connection when the pedals are
pinned the wheel spins.
K. Hole: Is the name given to the hole that has the flyer so that the wool coul get through.
